So, we're throwing a bit of a shindig. Not for ourselves. But for you.

No bait and switch. No weird agendas. Just a big, generous party for the joy of our local communities.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

WHAT DOES A VOLUNTEER DO?
Good question! We rely on the help of our volunteers for a number of jobs like: working the welcome tent, setting up games and gear, trash collection, cleaning up, setting up, face painting, taking pictures and video, transportation and parking, helping guests find their way, and lots more.

As you know, volunteering isn't always a glamorous job, and you should be prepared to work. We will all be tired. There will be opportunity to relax and enjoy the Shindig, but those opportunities come along with serving. As you sign up to serve, we'll assign you to various stations and roles and let you know what they are before the event.

HOW MANY VOLUNTEERS DO YOU NEED?
We need 50 adults running the event from 4pm-7pm on Saturday and we need 30-40 people to help us set up and tear down. The time-slot for setting up, Shindiggin', and cleaning up is 2pm-9pm. If you're unable to serve for the entire event, that's ok, we still need you. Just communicate your availability when you sign up so that we know! What about my kids? Bring them with you!

DO PEOPLE NEED TO BE PART OF OUR CHURCH IN ORDER TO SERVE?
No way. We'd love for you to include your friends in helping us to pull off this party. More friends = more fun.

HOW CAN I HELP BEFORE THE EVENT?
We are asking everyone who is able to purchase bags of candy that we can give out to the kids at the different game stations. You can begin doing that right now and bring them with you on Sundays. We'll have a large bin or bucket by the Connect Table where you can drop them off. We are also asking for personal water-bottle size packets of crystal light, iced tea, etc.

We will also need people the week of the Shindig to take charge of various things like packing the trailer, getting tables, hay bales, equipment, etc.
