All of Life is Moving

All of Life was given two week’s notice on 5/19/24 that we can no longer meet at Templins for Sunday worship gatherings. Templins was recently purchased by local developer StanCraft, and is now under new hotel management. Initially we were given one week’s notice. We asked for more time and it was extended to two weeks. Our last Sunday at Templins will be Sunday, 6/2.

We will update this FAQ as things develop.

Where will we be meeting:

June 9th — Q’emiln Park in Post Falls at 10AM

June 16th - August 25th — Prairie View Elementary School (Greensferry & Poleline)

What is all of Life’s North Star?

Our North Star is to Saturate the Inland Northwest with the Good News of Jesus. We will continue to aim at this target until Jesus returns or until we die and meet Him. A key aspect of our discipleship is prioritizing Sunday morning gatherings where the Gospel is proclaimed, the Bible is read/taught/understood/believed, songs of praise and petition are sung, Communion is recieved, people are gathered, strengthened and sent out, and friendships are built.

What is the plan?

We began stabilizing, organizing, and mobilizing shortly after receiving news of our eviction.

We are pursuing every option we can find in order to stabilize our Sunday AM worship gatherings. This is priority #1. A number of good options have fallen through and a number are still in play. As of 5/26, our most promising near-term option looks like Prairie View Elementary school in Post Falls for the summer. We will know more before Sunday, 6/2. Once we have direction on a venue, we will further organize and then mobilize our church to move forward.

Gospel Communities will be another stabilizing focus as the summer comes upon us. Rather than scatter widely throughout the summer, we ask that you prioritize our gatherings when you are in town and able.

Therefore, my beloved brothers (sisters), be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
— I Corinthians 15:58

Will we be okay? Have we done something wrong?

Yes, we will be ok! Jesus is in the boat with us (Mark 4:36-41) We have been A++ tenants in every place we’ve occupied. The breaking of these leases or contracts have not come as a result of our negligence or poor stewardship. We remain steadfast and faithful to the Lord Jesus.

Why all the fuss over a building?

We say this often: The Church is not an event we attend or a building we go to, but the Church is a family to which we belong. This is 100% true. The most important thing about us is our confession of faith (Jesus is Lord) and the people Jesus has brought together. A building serves to give All of Life a consistent place to gather for worship, to spur one another on, and to use for the sake of Jesus’ mission and ministry. Think of it like a house. Your house is not the most important thing about your family, but it is a significant tool and means of stability for your family.

What does this ultimately mean for All of Life?

It means we are changing the scenery on Sunday mornings. While we’ll miss the river views, we are looking forward to seeing how God will provide. We are confident that while water crashes into our boat, our sovereign King is IN the boat with us (Mark 4:35-41). We will double down on our North Star, persevere, and stay faithful to the mission Jesus has entrusted to us.

How can Templins do this to us?

Our contract had limited protections for the hotel and virtually no protections for cancellations against us. In the hospitality industry this is common practice because it is overwhelmingly the groups coming in (leasees) who back out, not the hotels who cancel (lessors). We could pursue small claims, which could possibly buy us one month. Regardless, our time at Templins has come to a close. It’s wiser to spend our energy looking for another place to gather and move forward on mission

how can i help?

  • Pray for All of Life Church’s members and leaders

  • Stick with us while we look for solutions

  • Communicate our plan to others: Our mission remains the same. We will Stabilize, Organize, Mobilize

  • Take responsibility and own your part in stabilizing, organizing, and mobilizing our church

  • Run questions and ideas worth pursuing up the chain to designated deacons, elders, lead pastor

  • Assess: What are your gifts? How can you help? Raise your hand, stay humble, and be ready to back up the people around you.

  • Live out joyful generousity

  • Shepherd the people around you. If you see or hear of people wandering or murmuring, pursue them. “If you see them, you are called to them.”

what kind of a building are you looking for?

We are open to look at anything. Existing church building, warehouse, strip mall, barn, etc. We need 10,000-15,000 square feet ideally, though we may be able to work with less for the right fit. If you know of something, please send it along! Our budget is up to $7k/month right now for the right fit.

Are you only looking in Post Falls?

Yes, but with qualifications. Currently we draw people from Airway Heights, Spokane Valley, Athol, Sagle, Hayden Lake, and Coeur d’Alene. Post Falls is central to that geographic area. Our loose search area is Huetter (east), Spokane St (west), the River (south), and Hayden Ave (north). We will look slightly outside of those boundaries for the right fit.

Finally, If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to someone on our Leadership Team to discuss. We have tried to answer the most frequent questions people will have, but if your question has not been answered we would love to have the opportunity to do that with you.
